Isn't that a duplicate of http://www.codewars.com/kata/544a247518b8e08af2000251? Or other frequency katas?
No, that one is more general in some ways, more specific in others.
Only a couple of small issues, I thought:

counts, but the?
in the test case does not. It'd be good to mention that a word is alphanumeric characters only.In general a hash isn't ordered, however when making them you might want them ordered for ease of parsing.
