haha, thanks man. it hasn't been a priority at all so that's probably why it's taken so long :P
I think it's "more important" (perhaps important is the wrong word inside this game here) than having many points;-)... So keep on working and getting next level - one thing you can tell your grandchilds later on:-)!
I don't mind about points or kyu, I'm just here to try create kata's that can help people learn programming and to help other kata creators create well written and tested katas :)

I think there could be more test cases or a more details description. e.g. permutation_position('aba') would return 27, permutation_position('abb') would return 28, etc
