Use of map, filter, reduce etc.. should be made mandatory for learning purpose in my opinion.
Very good, for beginner
COBOL translation (author inactive).

In this particular kata, it does not make that much of a difference; however, since this is part of a series where formating/naming/etc. has been said to be always referred to in the same way, there is an inaccuracy here: Piotr's language should be written in the same way as Jayden's in this kata and everywhere else in this series as "JavaScript", and not "Javascript". This rectification is important for coherence and consistency purposes in the context of the series.
Please say which language you're refering to. Since it doesn't affect at all the task, I wouldn't consider it an issue but just a suggestion.
closing then!
Python translation please check and aprove. Thanks
PS: Approved (quick fix thooo)
To remote the print.
very enjoyable!
PHP Translation Kumited - please accept :D
donaldsebleung thanks for tranlslating the kata to PHP, is it possible to keey the PHP specific syntax only visible in the php translation?
@PiotrBerebecki,
I know that when you are looking at my PHP Translation it seems that the code examples for all the languages are appearing at once to all users but I reassure you that once you approve my translation the PHP code examples will only be visible to PHP solvers.
Cheers, donaldsebleung
P.S. For more information on how Codewars automatically groups code examples of different languages click here.
Cool kata! Couple things —
isPythonComing
toisRubyComing
to match the description and tests. This comment has been hidden.
No problem, thanks for the kata :)
Can you also place the example in the description in triple backticks like below:
so that it can be translated into other languages? Thanks.
By the way, when you do that, it will be visible like this:
Wow! I wasn't aware that you can do this. This is an excellent tip, thank you :)
Thanks! Ruby and Crystal translations submitted. Hope they're fine.
If the annoying 'description cannot be merged' error pops up, let me know :)
I've tried approving Ruby but I get the following message:
Description cannot be approved, recent changes from related record must be merged first.
Do you know what can I do to approve your translation? Crystal went through I think. Also, I'm planning to be editting the desciption in future with links to new katas in the series. Will it mess up your translation?
This should work. No, it won't mess anything up.
This is super, thank you so much for your help :)
