Your example solution modifies (one of) its inputs. That works, because it is not the (actually, there is not a) reference solution for the random tests. But it's not a good example.
My vote of "somewhat satisfied", instead of "very", is purely because of this.
It's not illegal (though it is immoral :P ), it works (once. it wouldn't work twice), but it's very much ++unGood.
