The initial solution is a mess. And the decision to pass an object to the function instead of plain values makes no sense.

expected NaN to be close to NaN +/- 0.01The formula in the description is unreadable.
and it doesn't even show what is actually asked for as output... :/
I added a white background to the svg image to improve legibility. I clarified the description to show that i want the user to return delta v
except you're NOT asking for
delta v, despite what the description and the formula are telling............
