Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

Every simpler/faster solution is just an opportunity to learn. We all started each language as beginners and from there it's just a rewarding experience of becoming better and better.
Programming is an extremely useful skill to have and you've already demonstrated that you have it by completing a whole bunch of katas. The only way is up!
