I changed the Node definition to allow for initializing them without specifying both nodes (assuming nil for missing leaf), which might break existing solutions. I also added random tests. Not sure if it's to your liking, so please review when you get time to.

No need for double quotes. A single-quoted strings don’t process ASCII escape codes, and they don’t do string interpolation while double-quoted does both.
