    so there is no specific action to take in case of "bad" data. There are none.

    As far as I know no data are "bad" data. They are the same in each language. If your algo is correct it is not a question of "luck"!:-)

    Are you seeing bad data being passed into the tests? Which language are attempting to solve the Kata in?

    I didn't see any in the Python Kata, so my submission didn't require handling like that.

    I am far from proficient with Java, but I assume it is the same issue with Juan and niklaus discussed below: your code fails on an invalid sequence - ie: a sequence with not only spaces and numbers.

    Try to consider that possibility and it should work just fine :)
