Sorry for the downtime issues. We had hoped we had gotten them cleared up from the issues we saw last week. We recently switched from Digital Ocean to AWS in an effort to consolidate our infrastructure and the hypervisor profiles are different between the two services. Apparently our EC2 instances are having their CPU "stolen" away (by as much as 99%) by other tenants on the machine which is causing the execution engine to have major issues running submitted code. We are working hard to understand the issue better so that this doesn't keep happening. Unfortunately it's hard to debug the problem and keep the site running at the same time since we haven't been able to reproduce the issue within our staging environments, but our hope is that we can fix the issues without any further downtime.

In the meantime the servers have been recreated and things should be running as expected.

Anyone know how long it usually takes for these issues to be resolved because I'm having the same problems?

Yup -- getting submission timeouts on Python kata's
