I don't know Rust and I don't plan to invest my time to learn that. If somebody wants to fix that, plase go for that.
(RUST) There are issues with Rust tests, or description of this kata:
key string consists of unique letters and digits
. That's not the case for Rust solution - random tests have plenty of duplicate letters in keys.The message is never shorter than the key.
. Again, plenty of random tests that have messages shorter than the key.In C, this is a very common practice and should be very obvious so I would say it is a best practice. The point you're getting at is good,t though. It's just doing a null check on this string in this way is idiomatic C.
