On the PHP version, I am getting an error on the 'testRot90ClockRandom' and 'testDiag1SymRandom' test cases:

Error: Call to undefined function to2D()

I guessed what it was and implemented it as part of my solution, so I was able to complete the kata anyway, but thought I'd better point it out.

which language are you solving because for ruby and java there is no melons in the test cases

It seems strange to have negative numbers in the tests given the scenario.

Tests could include one with a rotten fruit in the original bag. 'Melon' is spelled wrong in the first test.
