Loading collection data...
Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

kata hint != kata suggestion
Thank you, a lot! I've solved it because of playing and staring into your draft :)
oh yeah it it supposed to be always oriented this way, you are right. I guess it did not put me in trouble while doing this kata haha !
Anyway, thanks for sharing desmos, I know geogebra is maybe the most used in France, where I come from.
So it's nice to see other useful tools !
Nice! I also made one with Desmos, except my rectangle is rotated 45 deg anti-clockwise when a>b.

Well I think if people are complaining there should be some kind of reason, am I wrong ?
The whole point of my message was to add a tag on the kata.
Thank you for the two links, but unfortunately I could not get what was wrong thanks to them :(
I tried a few other solutions, and one of them with changed boolean tests which happened to be much quicker!
interesting fact: you are third or fourth person this wee who complains on this kata, having the same problem. after some explanations, all previous complaints were admitted to be a user error.
For example, see this discourse: https://www.codewars.com/kata/5765870e190b1472ec0022a2/discuss#61b49f9b545032000ea395f1

Honestly, I've been trying hard for a few hours. And the only problem I have is the optimization problem : impossible to get it done in less than 12s.
I can understand that some people naturally find a sufficiently optimized solution.
But I think that for some people like me, who don't know anything about optimization, this kata is very frustrating : quite easy to find a solution that works but that won't get the job done in time.
Anyway, for these reasons, I think this kata should be tagged with "Optimization". This way, it would make it clear to the people that it is not just a matter of algorithms.
Also, it could avoid to get people working on solutions thinking "I don't care about the optimization of my system" and then start from scratch because they did not consider it at first.
Really nice Kata.
I think anyone having trouble on where to start should consider using geogebra. Thanks to its cursors, it is easy to draw very quikcly the inclined rectangles.
Here's my draft, that I thought was quite useful, even though it is not perfect. If it can help anyone to see better these damned rectangles... ;)

My god this comment is in fact very helpful thanks
Interesting, but not 6 kyu I think.
And my god the "" and float cases are frustrating when you forget them and thought you were done with the kata.
