I made this kata initially for python and I did not want solutions to just restrict the display to a certain precision, but to use built-in 'round' method to round the result. So will it be okay if I change the description to say that the answer must be mathematically rounded?

I don't think I know what is wrong, result should be rounded to 2 decimal places. What can be causing rounding problems?
