Ok, got it :

the problem is in the logger. (System Out ? java implementation ? Chrome ?)

When logging, it display "R L" with only one whitespace between the two letters, but the variable contains "R L" with 3 whitespaces.

Content could be used, or not. It is a physical (real) parameter. Sometimes you have to work with an object where not all parameters are used in this specific function.
