Loading collection data...
Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

My approach was also really similar to yours
Both points have been raised as issues already.
There is at least one other nearly identical kata 'Vowel Count'. Also, you should clarify whether or not y should be included in the count.
I'm really confident that this is a repeat. Also, I think the hints are a little too direct.
Nice! I will check those out (I'm away from the computer now). My background is in chemistry so I'm sure I can think of something that hasn't been covered yet.
note: in this case, don't update the current one, just create a fresh one (otherwise it would inherit the rank suggestions and satisfaction rate of the present one)
May I suggest you those, then? ;)
Note that we have some other katas about chemistry, so don't forget to do a search to be sure you'll not do a duplicate (ex: https://www.codewars.com/kata/molecule-to-atoms ; https://www.codewars.com/kata/proteinogenic-amino-acids ; one about acids and bases (cannot remember the name or find it...) ; ...)
Thanks for the feedback. It was my first attempt at authoring one. I have somne chemistry themed problems in mind - so maybe I'll switch my efforts to those.
Thanks for the feedback. It's my first kata, so I apologize for the mess. I'm going to take it down to work the issues out or possibly just replace it with a different idea - since someone also mentioned that there are no shortage of related problems.
well, we already of tons of that kind of problems, don't you think? (especially in mainstream languages such as python or ruby or...). Maybe you should just unpublish it?
It is not defined what a "word" is.
