Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

imagine having 1! through 12! memorized and walking into this interview question and being like... do you want me to refactor this to O(1) ?

Can someone tell me what is going on in this solution?

Well, according to the rules of the kata its perfectly fine to cut people in half between months, or weeks. You cannot do this only between years.
Thank you, you have helped me to solve the problem that I was missing. People can't be cut in half
This kata fails to provide appropriate guidance around how to treat the rounding of numbers representing people, since a number of people is always a whole number.
