I'm beginning to regret writing this one! It was done partly as a joke but has been a pain ever since... :-(

Of course there are a million ways to write a function that does nothing...

I guess I can only repeat what I already wrote below:

[the point of this is] So users will pause to consider that a function should do exactly what its name implies and no more and no less

But by passing parameters you are implying (to a caller) that the function is going to do something with those parameters...

And

This is [categorised as] a "Bugfix" Kata, so the objective really is just to fix the bug in the existing code rather than to rewrite or change the code in ways unrelated to bugfix
