I don't understand what you are saying, in this case there are 5 increasing numbers (this case is explained with details in the description).
when there's only 2 increasing special numbers found, how to decide what gets put into the 3rd slot?
am looking at that special case
special_primes(1000) --> [[251, 947, 11], [349, 479, 5], [431, 983, 4]]where 4,5,11 appear to fill the spot
its not even a value really. those "node" things are objects. every object stores the next object in the chain, nothing like ints or strings, just a single reference.
in essence, you are completely correct, the loop could be really long and the tail part might end further that Z part.
