Thank you very much for your informative and thorough reply. I published the python translation the first time and from a quick readthrough of the materials that you linked it seems as though the kata's author must approve the translation before it can be seen and changed by others.

I translated another kata and figured out what my mistake was. Thank you for the help and conversation.

Thanks, it was my first translation and I wasn't sure whether you needed to create a seperate kumite or just submit a translation.
I'm just assuming from this that the thing to do is create a kumite, name it as a translation of the kata, and then submit?
Preferably linking it in the comments?
