After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

what is the + in +word.match(reg) doing here ? match should return an array with many items ? does it convert the first element to a number ?
I like it, but why not define the regex within the function that uses it?
why did you put in "comparator" and "reg"?
