Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. It's true that katex does not get interpreted correctly in some places, like comments and kumite, but it works in most of previews (including comment preview). So you can just type it in into kumite editor, kata editor, or comment box, and switch to preview to see it rendered.
( apparently, this is unavailable in comments. it works in descriptions. )
