htmlize is just a nice to have, you do not need it to pass the test.
The expected return is in the same format as the one they gave you.
As for sigsiev error I had it too, mine has to do with the "In C" at the bottom of the description.

I find the instructions for C code to be quite unclear. First of all what exactly should I return or how exactly should I transform the poiners? Second, how do I use the htmlize function, because code given in the transcript does not work. In addition, the fact that the code throws a SIGSIEV error by default does not allow me to even understand what format is each passed variable so how am I supposed to figure that out what each variable is if thats not in the instructions and if I can't even print the values of the variables?

I would say its too simple for a 6 kyu kata, maybe a 7 or 8 would be more appropriate.
