Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

I am very sorry but I see to your honor points that you are very new at CW.
Until now the kata's author requires what he thinks right. You can disagree and you could have put that as a suggestion and not as an issue. Issues are for errors in the kata not for everybody telling what he wants.
Furthermore 2624 guys passed the kata and after 500 guys CW forbids modifications.
I think you shouldn't require an empty string if the book list is empty - you have 0 books of each category, so the solution should be "(A : 0) - (B : 0) - (G : 0)", or whatever the testcase was.
I think you are understood the challenge wrong. You are only supposed to look at the first letter.
