You need to read docs about markdown lang.
CodeWars use a 'modified' version of it, also new lines are handled differently in kata desc and comment part.
For simplification, you only need to know that

• Leaving an empty line will create paragraphs
• Add TWO spaces at the end of line will insert a new line
