I tried several solutions and all worked fine. Your code is too slow.
I wrote a solution in R and it is working. But in Attempt, it always gives a time out error message after 5 successful tests. I saw that others had similar problem. Is it possible that this is an issue with the R version of this kata?
For rust, if the gap is defined as
