I can see where you are coming from, but at the same time I feel like these challenges are designed to make you learn a system or concept. It may help a lot if you already know the system, so can skip that part of the challenge, but that won't always be the case. Especially when dealing with a propreitary codebase that has been around for decades. Think of these challenges as a trial run for more complicated problems like that.
