Js array split and join method both use for loops underneath the hood making your solution have a time complexity of O(n + m) but solving in string without converting to array the for loop runs only once and gives a better solutions with O(n) time complexity.

I love that this is the first thing I see after I submit my solution.

I originally attempted this with a for loop, and it would time out, so I used array methods instead to get a solution. Can anyone provide insight as to why my for loop would time out if it was written exactly like the above?
