Check the hint link in the description. You're supposed to reach for a better algorithm, not just memoize.

Your code is too slow, it doesn't fail on the last number, it just times out at some point. You need to do it another way, this is a 3kyu so you should expect some advanced stuff or trick is required. And this is not a kata suggestion (=suggestion of improvement for the kata).
