There is no mention of special characters in the description. For example: !, &, \t, \n

It is not clearly stated in the description, but there are differences between the two katas. In this one for example the inputs can include leading spaces and you should trim them.
The same problem as https://www.codewars.com/kata/525f4206b73515bffb000b21/cpp, but my solution did not work on this one, although it worked fine on the problem at the link
