hint for anyone trying this kata even if the description says not to (in JS at least):

"Person" is misleading in the way it has been capitalized..

once you get past that, the kata is still 8kyu, even when working the solution back from the tests results

I hope that this is not too much of a spoiler, since the description gives nothing, i figured a little hint would be nice.

Ahh shit kata preparing one for dealing with morons.

The instructions are hardly clear. And the problem should mention that the original names for the keys shouldn't be tampered with, otherwise the test cases will fail

Nice to check syntax knowledg but nowadays i'm a bit worried about male and female part... Well, you know, that tolerance.

Explain this is a dictionary and that you're fixing the value assignment.
I wasted 10 minutes assuming the terrible value names (1stname) and inconsistencies was the issue. Address this.

Solved in seconds due to obvious, syntactic reasons, no thanks to the rather lacking description, mind you. Why try for "amend" when the simple "mend" would amply suffice? Do you think you're Oxford's Digest or something?
