Thanks a lot for your feedback! I thought that CW might be too "advanced" for such exercices, so I thought about making the katas "private" but didn't manage to see how (now I know I can share my drafts). But you're right, it might not be the right tool anyway.

I'll check out Qualified, thanks :) (definitely do not want to annoy the beta testers haha)

note: one possible way would be to keep your kata in draft state and pass the direct links to your trainees. They won't be able to "submit final", tho. And anyway, using CW to track your students is just a VERY bad idea. We've seen this a lot, and it ends up generally this way: the students/pupils are all copying on each others (if not just copy/pasting solutions they found on the web...). With Qualified you can actually "see" them solving the different tasks.

    Hi again,

If you're a teacher and you want to create exercices for your student, you should use Qualified.io (not free, but same authors as CW).

Most of the times, exercices targeting beginners make for very poor kata. I strongly suggest you do not try to swarm the database with such a kind of exercices, because you'll irk a lot of beta testers, who will down vote them and they will most likely be retired, making you angry as well.

    Cheers

hey! thanks for the feedback. I was just testing the feature, I'm trying to write basic exercices for my students.
I couldn't manage to find very basic exercices, but I'll try and look again.
I'll check out the docs also, cheers

    Hi,

    • no random tests
    • no sample tests
    • this has already been done, a lot...
    • you're asking for a builtin

This kind of stuff does not make for a good kata. If you're interested at authoring, you should read the docs about that before you're next try (guidelines).

    Cheers & unpublishing
