to add to this, those who type the same clan name will be added to yours. so type a clan name(case sensitive), and send it to friends / peers, asking them to type the same.

You just type it in your account settings. There aren't really "clan" functionnalities, actually.

I am 5kyu, and i still have problems understanding how to join a clan. Google didn't help much.
