This looks a bit confusing to me. Should it be 0110 011011 010010 100001?

Every transmission starts with a 4 bit packet that determines the length of every following packet.
So a transmission with a packet length of 6 bit might look like this: 0100 011011 010010 100001

And then on production suddenly there are 393 goals in a match for some reason..

0 <= x <= 4
0 <= y <= 4

This will fail if a Team has more that 10 goals

mmm... 'was talking about "code reviewing" more than anything. I actually thought that you meant that the solution wasn't efficient because it uses string containment check (which would have been true), but wasn't sure. So, seeing your solution (where you effectively overcomplicated the stuff a bit ;) ), I was interested to know about the actual reason of your first message.
