Just realize i misunderstand the phrase the first in order of appearance

Example case: BAABB

If you think B is first in order of appearance, it's wrong.

A is correct answer. It can paraphrase 'the first in order of appearance which have highest length`

I am not good in math, i use wrong formula at first:

First: sin (x^3) - Second: (sin(x))^3

The first formula is wrong, when i change to second, it work like a charm and pass all test.

I have to agree with your comment. His explanation is just with one line but it exress better all description in the task.

Sorry, i still don't get it. Why rotating the dial clockwise (instruction step#2) from zero to 30 will take 90 degrees;

I am not sure what is the way to calculate the degree.

I just think the formula should be:

With clockwise start from 0:

0 -> 10 : 90 degree

0 -> 20: 180 degree

0 -> 30: 270 degree

With counter-clockwise start from 0:

0 -> 30: 90 degree

0 -> 20: 180 degree

0 -> 10: 270 degree

Only admins can modify approved katas' ranks, and they're not going to do that.

This kata should be 3 kyu. Quite hard more than others 4 kyu.
