arbitrary is far from how the ranking works
kata ranks are decided by users who have completed the kata in the beta phase. it can't be edited after being approved
also note that different languages share kata kyus.
I agree. The kata ranking on this website seems to be quite arbitrary.
All katas seem very simple and easy if you know how to solve them. Different story if you start from scratch without having an idea on how to approach the problem.
Some katas that I spent 8-12 hours working on just a few weeks prior seem ridicolously simple to me now.
I came here specifically to say this and saw that you already did. I wrote a lot of extra code to handle parentheses and realized after submission that none of the top solutions handled them.
