0 is neither a positive nor negative integer and according to this --> You are given an array with positive numbers , such solutions make perfect sense in the context of this kata, hence not an issue! (I'll reject the fork in the meantime)

Added test to handle array[n] being 0. This will correctly fail solutions that uses || to fallback to -1.

There should be test cases involving drinks of more than 9 (i.e more than one digit). Example:

hydrate("11 shot, 1 beers") shoudld return '12 glasses of water'

Some solutions I saw returns '3 glasses of water' because '11' was treated as '1' and '1'.
