Codewars was actually born out of a startup weekend hackathon, where we did exactly that! It had a pretty cool mortal kombat interface. We will probably bring it back at some point. Right now we are still focused on getting the foundations right for a whole slew of new additions.

Yeah I think adding you solutions for portfolio reasons are fine. It would be best not to provide the kata name anywhere in there so that its not trivial for others to cheat. If you were to call the repo "portfolio_samples" instead of "codewars_solutions" that would also be much appreciated.
