unfortunately, I cannot approve it because I didn't solve the kata in JS. I'm not sure I'll be able to get the points if I discard the JS solutions and approve it, so You'll have to wait for someone else (try on the github channel of codewars, maybe). What are the others? It was only a problem of closure. I didn't know that test functions are run asynchronously so that the captured variable was updated in every test function I created before being run. I don't think this is documented somewhere. It would be good to stress that point to avoid such mistakes in the future.
Could you test it again and approve as you are 4000+ honor and mattc does not respond ?
By the way, I've got two other pending translations in Python and Java, could you approve them ?

you have to unpublish your translation before making the modifications and republish it (weird trick, but necessary). Note: that'll work only if your translation is not approved yet. Otherwise you'd have to fork the former version.

I fixed the issue but when I try to republish it, it says "kumite was published with failed test". Maybe Matt c or you could approve the change.
