Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

There have been a number of unrelated issues this week, the site is usually much more stable than this. For now the issue has been resolved and we are working to uncover the root issue so that this doesnt happen again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Same here, "Submission timed out. Please try again" for all my programs. The second time in the last 2 weeks.
Same goes for me. The site has shown timeout error messages consistently for me since yesterday morning.
