Hi and welcome to Codewars;

It's because it's one of the oldest (2013!) katas on the site, and the ranking process was much more generous back then.

Nowadays for sure this would be approved at 8 or 7 kyu. Since it's very difficult to adjust kata ranks once approved - you'll just sometimes encounter over-ranked katas and get some "easy points".

But sometimes you'll also find under-ranked ones and will have to work harder for your points ;)

im pretty newbie but I dont think this is a 6kyu Kata.. pretty easy IMO. Thanks for the share!

Everything is consistent, on the contrary. Unless you did find badly set tests, but that's very unlikely, and however it's impossible to do anything since you no information at all, not even the language you're using.

What the kata is asking is not consistent with the tests. What it's the point of this????
