Loading collection data...
Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

That's why I said it could be 7kyu:
7 Kyu
7 kyu kata represent a beginner programming level. At this level the kata will generally challenge users on their core language and API reference knowledge. Tasks such as:
Iterating arrays and returning a subset of values
Basic data type manipulations
Basic functional or object-oriented concepts
Basic Regular Expressions
But katas won't be reranked anytime soon, so...
thanks for proving my point since my comparison link must have not been obvious. this kata doesn't meet any of the criteria for 8 kyu. thanks and have a great night.
8 Kyu
8 kyu kata represent a beginner level. At this level the kata is only challenging for users new to programming. This includes programming tasks such as:
Defining a simple function (i.e. hello world)
Basic variable assignments
Fixing basic syntax issues
Trivial algorithms such as basic if/else statements
You can read more about kyu rankings (and what they currently mean) here
nah, no 1 kyu for me, but even if it's not a 1 kyu what about 3 - 5 range. my main point is that it's ridiculous to make this one a beginner level 8 compared to all the other 8's that are introductory.
Have you solved any 1kyu kata? They're much MUCH harder than this one, the only difficulty in this one is knowing the formula and making a few units conversion. Could be ranked 7kyu, but no more than that.
IMHO this is not rated accurately compared to many other 8 kyu katas. Perhaps this was supposed to be a 1 kyu or something, but at the very least this is nowhere near the same difficulty level as the other 8 kyu katas I have been completing. oh, ok, i get it now, really clever, thanks
