That is to give the ASCII-ART the trianglular space / representation. Surely, this is not the only ASCII-ART kata that expects leading spaces !

Your code regarding summation is wrong although it passes all random cases
He says spaces between the digits but doesn't say spaces before the digits. But in the sample tests it looks like there is a space before the ones. What the heck? Very confused about the spacing here. I put 0 space on each side of digits and increment the spaces by 1 as line breaks are added but that doesnt seem to work. Whats the deal with the spacing?
