I'd compare returning a result to pouring some coffee into a cup and printing it as announcing: "Coffee's ready!", since printing is an information you can't use again unless you repeat it, but when you pour your result into a variable, it can be shared with friends.
Here in Brazil, Toddy® is a brand of powdered chocolate, and considering the name of the author, he's probably Brazilian, lol.
As a blind learner, I have no problem with long descriptions. After all, pictures are useless for screen reader users. This kata's one, however, was not too logic for me to try to imagine myself inside the theater, and it seemed by reading it that I would bother much fewer people than I actually do in practice after calculating the solution.
