I was curious if ooflorent was correct so I tested it on my laptop using Node.js. Precalculating did not speed it up in my tests, so I would agree that it is not necessary. But it's always good to test if you're not sure. And to ask questions :)

Nope. Modern JS interpretors optimize it.
