Why returning -1 if the number is negative? That's not stated in the instructions.

Well... Sorry, but there's nothing new here. :/ Moreover, the task is especially artificial. First things that come to mind:

• why by 8?
• why only by 8? (could be a second parameter. Tho, that won't change the initial "problem" -> "nothing new")
• what about simplifications? => 3 2/8 -> 3 2/4 It's bovious that it's not part of the task, yes. Just a note...

We already have a lot of simple katas that involve exactly what one needs to do here. Imo, that isn't worth of making a new one.

Caution: This kata does not currently have any known supported versions for JavaScript. It may not be completable due to dependencies on out-dated libraries/language versions.

so it's not currently solvable.

Also, not having Example Tests is not a good thing.
