something really weird happening on certain tests... no idea why, maybe something weird in node environment..
for example this array sorts ok in chrome / firefox / local node.js v10 -- [4, 5, 6, 107, 78, 'west', 99, 104, 110, 115, 117, 117]
but fails with weird order in the tests..
(using the same function to sort of course)
