Eh... at an 8kyu level, it works as a way to learn things langauges can do.
Remember 8kyu is the white belt level... and as much as people new to programming want to program their own OS AND MMORPG FPS bonanza with their first few programs... well... actually no programmer really loses that urge...
Anything higher than 8kyu and I would also complain about such things. This is white belt nonsense. xD
Nice kata, though missing some test cases that would make it super difficult. By the end my code was not the most elegant, and would probably fail some additional test cases.
