Yes, you can only view solutions of another language if both of you solved it in the language selected at the top of the page. Just like you cannot access Solutions to languages you haven't solved from the trainer.

I know, and I had already solved it, and it still says there is no solution to show. maybe it doesn't let us see each other's solutions if we wrote them in different languages. it shows my solution when i click on view solution under my comment, but not for you

very true, I started on a friday night and finished on sunday morning. funny when you start couting if removed chars is greater than added logic. one single char matters!

len() is O(1) iirc, but yes, you could store it.

I think the rank is fairly consistent with the difficulty level of other recently approved algorithmic 5 kyu katas, and so did the majority of people that solved in beta. Anyhow, once a kata is approved it is actually not possible to change its rank.

Don't know if it helpful enought and "legal" to post here, but as I can see this video outlines the way of solution to be think ("second" part of the video espetially). I may be wrong or missleading (or even spoiler), if so please moderate or delete my comment
