They're not objects, they're strings. Literally a string that looks like {'key' : 'value'}.

Watch out for stealthy whitespaces.

You can copy the whole "expected: ..., instead got:..." line to a text editor, align and compare both sides char by char. That usually helps me finding the difference between two outputs.

You should use keyword return instead of console.log. console.log() can only print message to the screen ;-)
