I spend 10 minutes thinking hard and bro just does it in three lines...Amazing. I will write 100 times "I will look for a closed-form solution" on the blackboard. On second thought however, your solution requires to iterate over the entire sequence to sum the elements, which is not the most efficient approach on average with very long sequences.
